How do I start earning Geysercoins?

Let's be honest - nobody likes ads. They're ugly, annoying, and ruin the experience. Not just that, but ads often follow you around across the web, spying on the websites you visit and collecting your data to deliver you more personalised ads. That's how other server hosts fund their servers, without giving you a share of their profits.

At GeyserHost, we don't believe in that. So we collect as little of your personal data as we need and we won't sell it - it's not our data after all, and selling it is just morally wrong. Our control panels are also free from ads. However, this leaves us with less avenues to fund our servers. That's where we'd like to ask for your help to spare us some of the resources you have to help us out. We'll give you Geyser Coins which you can exchange for bigger and better servers! If you're new to us, do note that you'll need to complete one of the options below before you can claim your free server.

With that said, let's get started!

Option 1 - If you have a good GPU

Got a good GPU (we're talking RTX or better)? You can lend us your computing power to mine cryptocurrency and exchange it to earn credits!

  1. Choose a mining pool. We recommend MiningPoolHub, Herominers or Salad, but you can also choose any mining pool you wish. Here's a comparison table between the two pools:

  1. If you're using MiningPoolHub, you can follow the instructions on your desired coin to mine. Miningpoolhub will keep the coins you've mined for you. If you're using Herominers, we will provide a wallet address to store the coins you've mined for you. Afterwards, follow the instructions to start mining.

Option 2 - If you have spare internet bandwidth

This option is for you if:

  • You want something that you can just setup and forget about it

  • You have good internet connection or plenty of leftover data at the end of the month

This will setup a residential proxy application on your device where providers will pay you for however much of your bandwidth they use. Here are the list of providers that we can accept payment from in exchange for credits!

Update 20/8/2022: Honeygain has temporarily disabled payouts in BTC, as such we are not able to exchange Honeygain payouts for Geysercoins for the time being. We're still trying to get Honeygain to resume payouts by Bitcoin, but so far it seems like they are persuading users towards using JumpTokens instead. We have decided that we are not gonna follow Honeygain on the switch, so we have decided to disallow using Honeygain for getting Bronze Tier loyalty.

These apps will have a meter bar that you'll have to fill up before you can payout. Once the meter is ready, create a ticket, and we'll show you how you can convert your app credits into Geysercoins.

If you do find another residential proxy app that you'd like us to see if we can accept, please refer to this article to see if we can accept it. If it's not on the list, create a ticket for us to review! However, do note that we currently do not support the following providers:

  • EarnApp (We can't receive any of their payout options yet. Also, when we tried using EarnApp ourselves, they treated our residential IPs as datacenter IP addresses and blocked us as a result.)
  • Spider (We can't receive any of their payout options yet)
  • PacketStream (We can't receive any of their payout options yet)

Option 3 - Use Brave Browser and enable Brave Rewards

Update 18/11/2022: We are temporarily suspending earning Geysercoins by BAT due to the current crypto market conditions.

Switching from Google Chrome to Brave is easy and it's for everyone!

  1. Download and install Brave: https://brave.com/

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions

  3. Enable Brave Rewards

  4. You'll start receiving your rewards (BAT) at around the second week every month!

We have to ensure that we receive funding to continue operating our servers and keep them in good quality, so we have a loyalty tier system to reward those who contribute most to our ecosystem.

Referral Reward

When you invite a friend onboard GeyserHost, make sure that they use your referral link! You can find it at https://client.geyser.host/profile. Here's what your friend needs to do in order to you to receive the referral reward:

  1. Signup with GeyserHost with your referral link. Upon successful signup, you will receive a notification that your friend has signed up and you've received 0 Geysercoins. Don't panic, this is normal as your friend has not met the requirements for you to receive the referral reward.

  2. Link their Discord account from https://client.geyser.host/profile

  3. Reach Bronze Tier loyalty requirements

  4. Open a support ticket under the "Geysercoins" category and let us know you've reached Bronze tier loyalty requirements

Tips & tricks

  • After you download an earning app, you can create a ticket and show us that you've downloaded an app and we'll give you some bonus Geysercoins as well as a Loyalty Tier: Bronze role on our Discord server!
  • Some of our earning apps also have their own referral programs where you can earn more credits to exchange for Geysercoins. Look out for those and be sure to get your friends onboard, earning Geysercoins is a team sport!
